Mears' Althorpe Side Saddle Habit
Known for the style, quality and workmanship of all their jackets, this fabulous habit made by Mears Country Jackets is exquisite.
The Althorpe jacket features long, sloping fronts that sit beautifully. The double vents at the back give a clean, uncluttered line that hangs perfectly to create the best profile. Generally the jacket comes with a self collar but it is possible to have velvet trim to collar and pocket jettings, if required (no additional cost).
The Apron is heavily weighted so that it falls gracefully and elegantly and doesn't fly around when riding.
The habit is available in a choice of fabrics:
Pure New Wool - black or navy
Keeper's Tweed
Heavyweight Cavalry - black or navy
Should you be looking for something really different in terms of colours or fabrics, do contact us. We are more than happy to discuss special requirements and to send you fabric swatches.
Habits are made to order, so do allow 4-5 weeks, particularly if you have a special show or event coming up.
As a matter of course, we will always send you Mears' standard measurements, so you can compare these against your own sizing before we finalise the order. Mears also offer the option to have the jacket sleeves and/or back length shortened or lengthened by 1" or 2" for that pefect fit. There is a small supplement for this, simply ask us for more details.
