About Us

How Cavaletti Started

In a dingy changing room behind a feed store, with only two pairs of not-very-exciting-jodhpurs in my size and a seemingly total lack of interest or help from anyone, I felt depressed and cross.

Here I was, excited about going back to riding (after a break for career, family and all sorts of other reasons) and prepared to spend some of my hard-earned cash, yet having a miserable experience. “There must be a better way,” I thought.

Fast-forward a year, after masses of market research (the career was in marketing, so I knew I needed to really understand my customers and their needs), and Cavaletti Clothing was launched.

We began by specialising in riding and country wear in the more generous sizes, but very quickly our attention to detail, customer service and passion for getting things right for our customers, was attracting customers of all sizes and ages from all over the UK, Europe and even as far away as New Zealand and America.

We don’t think we’re perfect (though we do try hard), we’re constantly improving our service and offer but we are extremely proud that how we work and our attitude to you, our customer, has already won us recognition and a number of prestigious awards:

Our Charities

To know and love horses and to be able to ride is a joy and an honour. At Cavaletti we are committed to supporting charities whose fantastic work helps riders and horses.

We have supported: Riding for the Disabled; the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund; the Tania Moore Memorial Fund, The Brooke Charity for Horses and, of course, our two chosen charities....

For Riders

The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy (www.fortunecentre.org), based in the New Forest, is a very special place offering Equine Assisted Therapy to young people between the ages of 16 and 25 - who suffer from learning and behavioural difficulties.

For Horses

For the past ten years Greatwood (www.racehorsesgreatwood.org) has provided neglected, unwanted and injured ex-racehorses with safe, secure and happy futures. Horses are cared for and where possible carefully retrained, many leaving to fulfil rewarding second careers in showjumping, eventing, dressage or simply hacking. Every horse remains in the ownership of the charity and is regularly checked on to ensure its continued well-being.

Our Promise
